ASICS is proud to help in the fight against breast cancer with the special edition GT-1000 PR. Offering performance, fit, and cushioning for mild to moderate overpronators, plus the bold colors and additional satin ribbon race (Women’s only), the GT-1000 PR is more than just a running shoe. ASICS has teamed up with the Christina Applegate’s Right Action For Women, a charitable services fund of the Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF), to help provide assistance to women who are at increased risk for breast cancer. For every pair of the GT-1000 PR shoes sold from October 1 to October 31, 2012, ASICS will donate $2.00 to the fund, with maximum donation of $100,000.00. The Asics GT 2160 is a structured cushioning shoe. – Structured cushioning shoes are for runners who mildly overponate (feet turning inward) and need extra support though the heel, midsole and post areas.
